I make all of the products you see on my website by hand and I stand behind my work. The pens I offer for sale here are guaranteed against defects in workmanship. I test each pen after assembly and I test it again before I ship it to you. If a part of the pen, other than the cartridge, fails or breaks I’ll repair or replace it. This does NOT mean if you drop and break it, or you abuse it or try to clean it with a solvent, or it falls into a blender that you’ll get a new one. If you break or damage your pen through abuse or accident I will still repair or offer you a replacement – but it will cost you.

I am also not responsible for any cartridge or ink problems. I do not guarantee cartridges. If your cartridge runs out of ink or breaks you’ll need to purchase a replacement. All of my rollerball and ballpoint pens ship with replaceable cartridges. Pencil lead is also readily available. Replacements can be purchased at just about any office supply store. If you don’t know which cartridge fits your pen, email me and I’ll be happy to send the details.

Your handmade pen will require care and maintenance on your part. Please see Care and Maintenance for instructions for keeping your pen working and looking well.

I will not replace pens where you have attempted to “fix” them. Any attempted repairs you make will void this warranty. Again, I can probably fix it for you but those repairs will not be free.

The wood used to make your pen will age along with you. Some wood species will darken while others might develop changes in color and/or depth. Wood is a natural material and like all things in nature, changes over time. This is a character that makes handcrafted pens desirable.

Also, the wood used to make each pen is unique. I can make another pen of the same style and species but it will not look exactly the same as your original.

Fountain Pens: Don’t attempt to do any filing or sanding on your nib. If you want or need a different nib, email me. I can usually find a nib that suits your needs. If you mess up the nib you will need to buy a replacement.

Do not return a pen to me without first emailing me for instructions. Any pen you send back without notification will be considered a gift.
